I’ll get back to looking at True Worship very soon, I promise. In fact, I’m almost ready to post on the third chapter. And private worship posts are on their way back, too.
I’ve mentioned before that “quiet time” isn’t always quiet. Sometimes you have to wrestle with God (or, more accurately, He wrestles with you). That’s why I prefer to call the daily posts “Private Worship” rather than “Quiet Time.” But private worship or quiet time or whatever you call it shoudn’t be a mere hoop you jump through to say you’re a good Christian. Last week, Tim Challies posted an excellent article you should take time to read. It’s on The Tyranny of Quiet Time. If you don’t have time to read it now, bookmark it and come back to it.
