Never Be Thirsty Forever

Sometimes when God allows us to see a little bit more of his glory, we still don’t get it. Jesus had just radically altered the Samaritan woman’s life and she didn’t see it yet. He told her about the “living water” he could give her and she asked him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water?” (John 4:11 ESV). Another blind question followed by another incredible answer. Jesus replied, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty forever.” Never be thirsty forever! No doubt the woman was wondering how that could possibly be. Never be thirsty forever!

It often takes us a long time to see what God is showing us. The more time we spend with him and the more we get to know him and his Word, the more quickly we are able to tune in to his will and his message. Taste the Living Water and never thirst again.

Jesus also said further that this water that He shall give shall be in such a person, a well of water springing up into everlasting life, it is the Holy Spirit we receive which then will be the "link" between us and God and therefore to keep the water level at "full" we must continuously be in contact with God.
