Read Galatians 6:14
Listen to “The Glories of the Calvary” (this is a CD you need to get if you don’t have it already!)
Yesterday we looked at Stuart Townend’s “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us.” The last stanza of “How Deep” declares, “I will not boast in anything . . . But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.” We can boast in Jesus Christ and in His death and resurrection because they are firm pillars which can never fall. They are as sure as the air we breathe. Once you have claimed the power of Christ’s death and resurrection?and the love that provided the only way to be reconciled with God?they can never be taken away.
The question for us to consider today is, “How much of this power do we actually claim?” Do we live in just a little of the power? Do we exercise most of it? The power of Christ’s ransom payment for us is ours to claim every day. The more we live in that joy, the more we worship Him on a continual basis. Others will see the power of Jesus Christ in our lives. If they aren’t seeing the power, chances are we aren’t living in the power.
Spend some time asking God to show you how to live in the full power of the death of Jesus Christ, and then . . .
Live in the full power of Christ, His death and resurrection!
