Private Worship for June 30

Read/sing “Holy, Holy, Holy”

Read Isaiah 6

In yesterday’s look at Revelation, we saw that God revealed Himself to be the one true King of Israel. Today we’ll take a look at our natural response to God’s revelation of Himself: Adoration. Isaiah saw God seated on His throne and around God flew heavenly beings. Isaiah remarks that the cherubim and seraphim called out to one another “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” Every time in Scripture (I can’t think of any time this didn’t happen) that God shows Himself we see those to whom He revealed Himself fall down in adoration. We can’t help but adore Him Who created us. The more we learn about Him, the more He reveals to us, the more we adore Him. Because we are learning more and more about His holiness, His love, His power, we fall more in love with Him.

Yesterday’s follow up question was, “What has God been showing you about Himself lately through events in your life or through your time with Him? What has He shown you through this passage?” Use what He showed you about Himself to spend time adoring Him. This should be a great time of telling God how much you love Him. Use what you know of Scripture to guide you or you can use the text to “Holy, Holy, Holy.”

Go and live to the glory of God.
