Timbo over at The A-Team blog is running a interesting question of the day: Which translation(s) of the Bible do you use?
Here is what I entered into His comments section:
I use the ESV predominately. For comparison, I also use The Message and the HCSB. I switched to the HCSB from the NIV, not because I’m a good [Southern] Baptist but because the HCSB is slightly more literal [than the NIV] while still maintaining functional equivalence. And the HCSB typeset and formatting is the best of any translation available; it looks nicer on the page than any other.
